Hampton v. Iowa State just as exciting eight years later →

Finally found the old video of the Hampton upset of Iowa State. It’s only available going to the source site.

Watching this video brought back the memories of excitement in Taco Bell Arena: the crowd eruption when Tarvis Williams swats away an Iowa State shot and sets up Marcae Brown’s lay up with 1:40 left to bring the Pirates within one point; then the hugely thunderous - almost deafening - reaction when Williams sinks one to take the lead with seven seconds left.

Taco Bell Arena was never again so loud until Barack Obama spoke to 14,000 people in February 2008.
